We spent a few days in Las Vegas - there can't be many destinations where the main attractions are the hotels themselves.

The Luxor hotel is built around a 30-storey, black glass pyramid. Luxor at day

The pyramids aren't anywhere near Luxor, but nevermind..
The sloping walls in the hotel rooms make you feel as if you're in the attic.

Inside is the world's largest atrium.

The New York, New York hotel.
As you can see, the building is cleverly designed to look like the New York skyline.
It's actually very effective.
The Statue of Liberty is a 1/3 scale copy.

The Paris hotel has built it's own Eiffel Tower. It's a 1/2 scale replica of the original, built using the original plans.
It cost $28m to build - about 10x as much as the French version.
Even though it's only half as tall, the view from the top is rather better...

Strip view
...instead of just a bunch of houses, you can see the Las Vegas strip and beyond to the desert and the mountains.
The hotels on the Strip here: Monte Carlo, New York, Excalibur, Luxor (with pyramid and sphinx), Mandalay Bay (in gold), Tropicana and the MGM.
