| The Cape Town docks area has been redeveloped in recent years and is now full of shops and restaurants - something like San Francisco's Fishermans' Wharf or Sydney's Darling Harbour.

| Not far from downtown Cape Town is District Six. In 1966 the district was declared a "white area" and 60,000 people were forcibly removed and their houses bulldozed.
Apart from this municipal sports centre, the whole district is still virtually empty.
