We started our diving on a liveaboard in the Similan Islands, nine tiny uninhabited islands in the Andaman Sea, around 100km north west of the main island of Phuket.
They're covered by the Similan Islands National Park, and they're a key diving spot.
Foster's Hawkfish
This is a nudibranch (Glossodoris atromarginata).
It's about 15mm long, and it's a marine slug.
..some people get very excited about nudibranchs - it's all they want to photograph.
Here's another - this is a varicose wart slug.
As you can see, they're rather more colourful than their land counterparts.
